Internet got acquainted with the newest sensation named Akshat Singh. The 8 year old dance dhamaka appeared on India’s Got Talent and instantly hit to fame with his splits, back flips and frisky dance moves.
Taking another leap towards his celebrity status, Akshat got invited to the biggest talk show, ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’. The show’s guest list which had the who’s who of the international entertainment circuit from Nicole Kidman to Barack Obama, will now have a non-celebrity kid Akshat Singh creating waves overseas.
A die hard Salman Khan fan Akshat didn’t let his weight or language become a barrier in his claim to fame. In the opening episode of India’s Got Talent, Akshat Singh was seen shaking a leg to Salman Khan’s popular song ‘Mera Hi Jalwa’ – a performance which soon became viral and has received millions of hits online.
Talking about his son’s achievement, Abhay Singh says, “I was shell-shocked when we were informed that Akshat will be seen on a show like The Ellen DeGeneres Show. I am really humbled by the opportunity that India’s Got Talent has provided Akshat with which has put his talent on this global platform. We are all extremely proud of him.”
Karan Johar who was shell shocked to see Akshat perform is overwhelmed with the response this wonder boy has got, adding to this he says, “The Ellen DeGeneres Show is an incredible opportunity for Akshat to showcase his talent on an international platform and bring home accolades that will further encourage India’s hidden jewels of talent to flourish and come to the limelight. I would like to wish Akshat all the luck and success.”
In his first performance itself, Akshat got his star status when Malaika Arora Khan took his autograph. “This is unbelievable! I am very happy to hear that young Akshat has been invited to be a part of The Ellen DeGeneres Show in LA.” she said.
Awestruck by Akshat’s performance she further added “It is a great feat that he has achieved especially because he has an extremely endearing personality. Watching him perform on the India’s Got Talent stage has been a visual treat because he has a personality which brightens your day and brings a smile to your face. I wish him all the luck for his stint on the show. I am sure he will be able to impress international audiences the way he has managed to floor us. I am very happy for him.”
