6th July ’22, London: As a build up to the launch of the show Harphoul Mohini, COLORS TV UK had launched a nationwide initiative for audiences to share their “opposite-couple” story along with a picture of them with the idea of finding “real life” Harphoul Mohini couples in UK. From a host of entries received during the activity duration, four stories closest to that of the show’s essence have been shortlisted and are being featured on the channel as well as on Colors TV UK’s social media.  In the videos, the couples talk about how two completely opposite people from different states, backgrounds, cultures, and interests met and share their journey of happily ever after despite all the differences. The channel reached out to the audiences with its #ImperfectlyPerfect campaign extensively via its social media pages and through interesting promotion on TV and radio, making sure the audiences don’t miss this opportunity!   Talking about the initiative, Govind Shahi, Executive VP & Head, IndiaCast International Business, said, “With every show, we like to create something engaging and exciting for our audiences to participate and interact with us. These interactions allow us to get closer to our audiences. I am sure all of us have come across couples similar to Harphoul and Mohini in our life, who inspire us to believe in love all over again. It is our humble attempt to bring such stories to the forefront through this initiative and it is heartwarming to see our viewers participate and share their love stories, for everyone to cherish.”   Below is a short snippet from all the couple stories –   Antara (From Varanasi, a cricket fan, prefers writing over reading and hardly watches movies) and Rakesh (From Chennai, a F1 Fan, Loves watching movies and reading): “We met on a matrimonial site. Even though we had different habits, spoke different languages and belonged to different cultures; both of us realized we have a soul connection pulling us closer together like a magnet. Different as we are, but we are one when it comes to our family and our value system.”    Shabnam (A Bengali raised in Delhi) and Manish (A Brit Asian Punjabi): “Being a Punjabi and a Bengali, right from the onset, we knew we were poles apart. It was food, crosswords, Pink Floyd and co-presenting the Breakfast Show that brought us together.”   Shruti and Rohan – A Gujarati & Bengali Couple: “Yes of course opposites totally attract otherwise me being a Bengali & Rohan being a Gujrati would have never been together. Our culture, backgrounds, food habits were completely different from each other. One had sweet dal & sabzi while the other had sweet only as desserts! One had chaat, bhel etc as a main course for dinner while the other only had it as starters! Our choices were totally different but we both had a common passion which was dance that brought us together. We fight a lot, we have loads of arguments & disagreements due to work but at the end of the day we both know that we are a great team personally & professionally :)”   Tanu Varma and Ravi Desai - A Punjabi and Gujarati Couple: “We were quite different from each other in many aspects. I am a super chatty person however Ravi is fairly quiet. Ravi is fond of watching thriller & horror movies; however, I like love stories. Despite all the differences, what has kept us going is our love for each other while respecting our differences.”   Tune in to the romance drama, Harphoul Mohini on Colors TV UK, Monday to Friday at 8:30 pm and don’t forget to check out some special stories of real life #ImperfectlyPerfect couples only on Colors TV UK social media pages.
