When Sanath got on the Jhalak Dancing floor to show his Dance Attack, he made everybody, including the Judges Madhuri, Karan and Remo join him on the stage. The star cricketer who wooed the Judges with his very first performance is slowly turning into a dancing star who can make people get up from their seats and dance. His innocence, hard work and simplicity have won him standing ovation and adulation over and over again.
But, there is a lot more other than just dance practice that goes into the ace cricketer’s performance every week. Sanath, who is also an MLA, shuttles between India and Sri Lanka thrice a week! Yes, unlike all the other contestants, who are from India, Sanath gets very little time to rehears and give the final performance. All he gets is two to three hours of practice for each performance thrice a week and still has no complaints to make. He comes straight from the airport, practices with his partner, Suchitra in the Jhalak house for three hours at max and heads for the airport again. Despite all this exertion and lack of time, Snath has been entertaining all his fans off-the cricket pitch as well. Like once Madhuri requested Sanath to sing a Sri Lankan song for her and last week Madhuri obliged him in return as he requested her to groove to a popular Sri Lankan dance form Baila along with him Madhuri instantly obliged him and learnt the dance form from him. Both of them did the jig on the famous Love Aaj Kal song – Twist in Baila style with the famous Bollywood Nagin step! Looking at Sanath’s true sportsman spirit, even the other judges Karan and Remo couldn’t stop themselves and joined them to try some Baila & Bollywood Nagin!
