Four years back Viacom 18 started a general entertainment channel called Colors which created a buzz in the media. The first show on the channel was Balika Vadhu which with its unique content and a social message created a stir in the masses. Soon Colors was rocking the charts and was the number one GEC channel in India. Today, this channel proudly completes four years of creating noteworthy content and is responsible for spreading joy and happiness among their audiences’.

Colors is solely responsible for bringing in shows like Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi and India’s Got Talent which gave the audience’s a chance to view some thrilling action and extraordinary talent. One of the biggest reality shows in India, Bigg Boss is also a part of this channel and has been entertaining audiences’ since 2008. 

In fiction shows too, Colors introduced shows like Balika Vadhu, Uttaran and Laado which spoke highly about social issues and the channel was much appreciated for its attempt to throw light on such topics. Balika Vadhu during its launch was ranked in top 5 shows in the country and that in itself is a remarkable achievement. 

For four years, Colors has stood on its words and has truly entertained its audiences with a variety of content. Be it a show like Balika Vadhu, which spoke about child marriage or be the latest addition Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa starring the Queen of Bollywood Madhuri Dixit, Remo D’Souza and Karan Johar; every effort of Colors has been paid off.
