Yesterday, we told you about Roshni Shetty getting married in the coming days. And today we bring you an exclusive picture of her husband-to-be, Anshuman Bhandari! What do you think, guys?
On screen, Sajni might be having marital problems, with Ved rebuffing all her moves, but in real life, Roshni is pretty excited about her upcoming nuptials. Roshni reveals(and we could hear her blush even through the phone),”Yes, I'm getting married on the 7th of December to Anshuman Bhandari in Chandigarh.” Now before you ask who he is, here is the whole story. He is an IT professional currently living in the US. Roshni met him almost 6 years ago at a friends party, and they hit it off superbly. And even after Anshuman shifted to the US, they realized that the distance had not affected their bonding. So about two years ago, they decided to get married to each other. Sweet!
Now that you know the love story, we asked Roshni about the actual 'band-baaja-baraat' nitty gritties. The bride-to-be says, “The engagement and sangeet will happen on the 6th and the wedding will be on the evening of 7th December. All the wedding rituals will be in Punjabi style as Anshuman is a Punjabi.”
But the most interesting part of the wedding will be the bridal trousseau. Why you ask? Because Roshni has taken elements from the North as well as the South. An excited Roshni reveals,”My bridal dress is a ghagra-choli as my groom is a Punjabi. But I have also added Kanjeevaram fabric and work to give it a South Indian feel. I hope I don't end up looking like a cocktail!”
Roshni has also invited the whole cast of Kairee and a few of her industry friends like Priya Wal and Sukirti Khandpal. And she hopes that Preeti (Ambi) Naman (Anuj) and the others can make it. Talking about her post-wedding plans, she says,”We're going to Koh-Samui for our honeymoon and then i will be joining Anshuman in California for two months. The best part is that my parents, too, will be in the US around the same time so it'll be a great stay!”
After marriage, the most obvious question for an actress is whether she would continue working or take a sabbatical. Roshni is pretty confident when she says.” I will continue acting even after marriage as my career has taken off. I would like to do different roles and not get typecast in the 'bahu' role even after getting married. And in fact, Anshuman is planning to come down to India to support my career. Hope it all works out!”
It seems like Roshni is pretty clear about what she wants in her personal and professional life. We wish her a great married life!
