They say marry a man who is like your father, but looks like Alia Bhatt doesn’t believe in this famous old ideology and she made it clear while talking to Anupam Kher on his talk show The Anupam Kher show Kucch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai. She was the celebrity guest along with her father and celebrated filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt

On the show Mahesh Bhatt was very candid and upfront about his past relationships. He who calls himself a Nomad with no destination on one of his social media accounts has always been in news for his affairs . He had an affair with a yesteryear Bolywood actress while he was still married to Kiran Bhatt, actress Pooja Bhatt's mother. He later married actress Soni Razdan and had two daughters with her- Shaheen and Alia. 

After a round of Mahesh Bhatt’s confrontations and revelations to Anupam Kher who also has been a very close friend for years now, Alia was asked if she would like to marry a man like her father and without even waiting for a second Alia replied ‘NO’ with a smile.

All was said in good humor. Alia and Mahesh Bhatt share a very close and strong bond which is beyond a normal father-daughter relationship. He has been her mentor and pillar of strength till now and will continue to be with her always.

While most woman aspire to marry someone who has similar traits like their father, Alia Bhatt has a different view altogether but that’s besides the point.
