Jayati Bhatia is known in the Colors universe for playing Mataji, the stoic grandmother of Prem and Siddhant Bhardwaj. She is secure in her being and in her position as head of the family and a succesful businesswoman. But this is not the case with Jayati herself. In fact, she admits to being jealous of Surekha Sikri, Dadisa in Balika Vadhu.

Surekha Sikri has a steady fan following among the audience and fellow actors alike. The National Award winning actress makes a lot of actors go green with envy. But while Jayati admires Surekha Sikri's acting prowess, what she envies is her wrinkles!

Reveals Jayati,” I play an older character in Sasural Simar Ka and have to use artificial means to look older. I'm really envious of Surekhaji's wrinkles as they reveal a lot about all the experience that she has gained in her life. I'm not as experienced as her but I really wish I had her wrinkles.”

So while we hear about other actresses going to crazy lengths to make themselves look younger, Jayati is swimming against the current with her want of wrinkles. Wonder what Surekha Sikri has to say about this 'compliment'!
