The latest entrant on the Jhalak dance floor is leaving no stone unturned to keep up to the other contestants on the show. Cricketer Krishnamachari Srikkant who makes his dancing debut as a new contestant on the show has already bowled over the jury with his dance moves. The former Indian cricket team captain and chairman of the selecting committee is known for his cricketing skills but little did we know he was also a sporting performer. We heard that at the shoot for the upcoming episode, Srikkant made a magnificent entry with SRK’s Chammak Challo, spellbinding the audience as well as the jury. 

He not only impressed everyone with his dance act but also floored judge Madhuri Dixit with his spontaneous singing stint. He sang the song ek do teen for the dancing queen in Hindi & Tamil and Madhuri became a fan of the Tamil version of the song that he sang. 

Later he also went on to teach hosts Manish Paul and Kapil Sharma some cricketing moves. Remo who admitted that he had always copied the cricketer’s batting style in school couldn’t stop himself and went on to join the other three on the Jhalak stage. 

Karan Johar told Srikkant that he was very glad that the ex-cricketer chose to be a part of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. “We salute your spirit”, he said. We second your thoughts, KJo!

When Krish was asked about his experience so far in the Jhalak house and during the stage performance, he enthusiastically narrated his journey and added, “My journey has been exhilarating and I am completing enjoying this new experience. I could either hit a sixer on the first ball or get out after my first performance but I will play my natural game”. 

Adding on he said, “I am doing it for my friends and family and hope they like my performance. I would like to salute my choreographers Vrushali and Amrita who have worked very hard on helping me to get my moves right and having the patience to teach dance to somebody like me”.

Now that Chikaa has already bowled the audiences over with his performance,we cannot wait to see what other unique moves he has left to show us in this season of India’s biggest dance reality show.
