How we know her

Gauahar Khan has made quite a stand…err place for herself in Bigg Boss house. She came in Bigg Boss as a model and a style icon, and then made a mark for herself as a housemate who stood for what was fair, even when it was against Bigg Boss. She was the person for whom Kushal beat up Andy (more on that later) and also one of the rare celebs who confess their love on national television. 

First Break

Gauahar participated in the Miss India contest 2002 and came fourth, representing India at the Miss International pageant. She made her Bollywood debut in the movie Miss India: The Mystery, which failed to make a splash at the box office. Gauahar continued to be a successful model, walking the ramp for designers like Manish Malhotra and Neeta Lulla. 

Gauahar was a part of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, and later went on to shake a leg and show her acting chops in movies like ‘Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year’ and Ishaqzaade. Of course, who could forget the fact that Gauahar and her sister Nigaar are India’s answer to the Kardashians, as they gave us a peek into their world through the show ‘The Khan Sisters’.

What sets Gauahar apart

Well, from modeling to acting to reality shows and a show like Kingdom of Dreams, Gauahar has seen and done it all. But it is her stint in Bigg Boss that has catapulted her to fame in 2013. Gauahar staged a walk out with ‘good friend’ Kushal when he was thrown out of the house for manhandling Andy. But she came back the next day with her head held high. 

Gauahar was one of the strongest housemates in the show, standing up to Armaan, but it is her love for Kushal that has grabbed eyeballs. After many days of Gauahar plaing ‘Ek phool, do maali’ with Kushal and Ajaz, Kushal declared that he wanted to grow old with Gauahar, and Gauahar responded that she loved him too. (Cue the waterworks) Now she’s living blissfully in the house with boyfriend Kushal, spicing up their relationships with fights at regular intervals.

What to expect from Gauahar

Obviously, the first Bigg question is whether she’ll win Bigg Boss. With an entry into the Finale week, she is one of the strongest contenders for the Bigg Boss crown. Regardless of her victory, we can expect Gauahar to be catapulted into the big league once she comes out of the house, so she’ll be seen in quite a few new projects. Gauahar has also completed a film called ‘Fever’ with Rajeev Khandelwal that will hit the screens in 2014.

And what everyone will be looking at with eyes peeled is Gauahar and Kushal’s relationship. They will make a few public appearances hand in hand, no doubt, but bear no doubt that people will be guessing whether their love will see the next New Year’s Eve. Wanna bet?
