Pooja Kanwal, who was last seen in Colors’ Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha, currently plays the role of a schizophrenic in Sanskaar -2 and has been doing a marvelous job at that. But to get into the skin of this split personality isn’t a child’s play. Other than picking up mannerisms Pooja has also put in a lot of efforts to research about schizophrenia. 

Talking about her research Pooja said, “I spoke to a friend who is a psychotherapist to learn about the behavior of schizophrenic patients and also some parents of such children.” 

The actress, for whom this is a comeback role, takes inspiration from Vidya Balan’s character in Bhool Bhulaiyaa. Elaborating on her role she said, “Very often we do scenes where I get hysterical attacks. But it takes a while for me to get out of this state. My body trembles and my heart rate turn fast for several minutes after doing such scenes”

Surprisingly the role of Deepika was supposed to be a cameo but looking at Pooja’s earnest efforts the makers decided to extend the role. Now when the show is culminating on its biggest highpoint her character is the focal point and is being raved by fans. “The track was supposed to be a cameo for a month, but looking at the audience reactions it has gone on much longer and people love it. A comeback can’t get better than this!” Pooja said.
