In its very first season, Sur Kshetra has scaled great heights. The show, with an innovative concept where young singers from India and Pakistan were mentored and pitted against each other in a musical battle, had national pride at its core.
Just like the cricket matches the two countries play, this singing duel is all set for a nail-biting finish.
The stage for this nerve-wracking and exciting musical journey ends at the set of the World Trade Centre at Dubai.
The finalists Yashraj Kapill and Diljaan from India as well as Nabeel Shaukat Ali and Mulazim Hussain from Pakistan are all set to put up a spectacular opening performance. The fate of the Finale depends on the performances of the contestants in the finale. The judging panel for the Grand Finale is an ensemble of musical royalty from India, Pakistan and the neutral nations of Bangladesh and UAE. The Saat Rishis, distinct like the seven colours of the rainbow or the 'sapt sur', are Asha Bhosle, Suresh Wadkar and Ismail Darbar from India along with Ghulam Ali and Abida Parveen from Pakistan. In addition to these judges, there was Runa Laila from Bangladesh as well as Sajjad Ali, a Pakistani musician based in Dubai.
The Grand Finale will have electrifying performances of mentors of Pakistan and India, Atif Aslam and Himesh Reshammiya respectively, apart from performances by the current and ex-contestants of SurKshetra.
But performances apart, this is the day that music aficionados from both the countries have been waiting for. To see who takes away the SurKshetra crown and makes his country proud. And all the four contestants are set for the final result.
So don't miss the Grand Finale of SurKshetra on 29th December, at 10 pm!
