Salman Khan kick started the show by performing on some of his hit songs including 'Mashallah' followed by the new theme song of Bigg Boss. “Aisa har baar hota hai. In aane waale 90 dino mein aap kiske saath uthenge, baithenge khana khayeinge aur sone se pehle milenge, hum aapko roo-ba-roo karwaayeinge!”Salman Khan told the audience.
before inviting any of the contestants, Salman did a walkthrough of the house and met five of his own avatars, sitting and chit-chatting about the show. He then took the audience on a virtual stroll inside the house making them familiar with the set-up of the house and to make them meet O Fish. After coming back from the House, Salman started introducing each contestant one by one in a 'hatke' style.
World famous cricketer and commentator, Navjot Singh Siddhu a.k.a Sherry Paji was the first one to be introduced by none other than, the number one Bhangra pop singer, Daler Mehndi. Next to enter the house was popular South-Indian film actress Sana Khan, who rocked the stage by grooving on this year's most popular item songs, Chikni Chameli and Halkat Jawani, she was followed by comedian Vrajesh Hirjee.
Next in line was Sampat Pal Devi; a women activist and Aseem Trivedi; a controversial cartoonist. Small screen Vamps and glamorous actresses, Aashka Goradia and Urvashi Dholakia who were later joined by small screen nagin, Sayantani. Adding a differnt flavour to the show, Bigg Boss invited Bhojpuri superstar Dinesh Lal Yadav a.k.a Nirahua and the quirky Celebrity hairstylist, Sapna Bhavnani. Last but not the least to spice-up the line-up of the season, Bigg Boss invited the estranged couple Delnaaz and Rajeev Paul.
The show saw a Grand opening with a lot of other celebrities like, Himesh Reshammiya, Bhojpuri actress Monalisa and not to forget the Aiyya! actress Rani Mujherjee, who came to congratulate the winner of the Common Man contest, Kashif Qureshi and also to teach Salman Khan some of the belly dancing moves from her upcoming movie.
Now will the real show start when these people from different walks of life will stay inside the tight surveillance of 74 cameras tracking each and every move of the participants 24×7. There will be tasks, weekly nominations followed by eviction and between all this an estranged couple…'Ab aayega mazaa!'
