Om Shanti Om is a larger than life film based on reincarnation and the film industry. Om (Shahrukh Khan) is a struggling actor in the 70s, in love with the reigning diva Shanti (Deepika Padukone). But he is killed in an attempt to save Shanti and is reborn as Om Kapoor, the superstar. This is the story of how he takes revenge against Mukesh Mehra.
